    Bhalla is a Punjabi name. Because her family only speaks Hindi and English, it PROBABLY means that her family moved to a majority Hindi-speaking area like Mumbai or New Delhi and because of that, they adopted Hindi as their primary language. I suggest changing her ethnicity from “Indian” to “Punjabi, possibly other.”

      Change the ethnicity to Punjabi, possibly other. Bhalla is almost exclusively used by Punjabi people as a last name.
