Darren Lynn Bousman is an American film director and screenwriter. He has directed the films Saw II, Saw III, Saw IV, Repo! The Genetic Opera, Mother’s Day (2010), 11-11-11, The Devil’s Carnival, The Barrens, Alleluia! The Devil’s Carnival, Abbatoir, St. Agatha, Death of Me, and Spiral: From the Book of Saw, co-wrote Saw II, and wrote 11-11-11 and The Barrens. He also executive produced the mini-series Crow’s Blood.
Darren is the son of Nancy and Lynn Bousman. He is married to Laura, with whom he has two children.
Darren’s paternal grandfather is Ernest T. Bousman (the son of Harry Bousman and Dixie Clay Brothers). Ernest was born in Kansas. Harry was born in Kansas, the son of Wesley P. Bousman and Helen Howe. Dixie was born in Missouri, the daughter of Thomas Gabriel Brothers and Mary Ellen Wert/Wirt.
