Norifumi Yamamoto (山本 徳郁, Yamamoto Norifumi) was a Japanese mixed martial artist and kickboxer. He competed in the bantamweight division of the UFC. He was popular in the Shooto organization, with his aggressive, well-rounded, and controversial style, and also appeared on K-1 Hero’s. He was nicknamed “Kid” and “son of god.” He was 5′4″.
Norifumi was the son of Ikuei Yamamoto, a wrestler who competed at the 1972 Summer Olympics. He was the brother of freestyle wrestler and mixed martial artist Miyuu Yamamoto and wrestler Seiko Yamamoto. Norifumi attended school in the U.S., and wrestled in high school in Tempe, Arizona.
Norifumi had three children with his former wife, fashion model MALIA (マリア,新保真里有).
