Jeffrey’s father is of approximately five eighths Swedish and three eighths Norwegian descent.

Jeffrey’s paternal grandfather was Harry George Nordling (the son of Frans Georg Nordling and Sigrid Hanna Rundquist). Frans was born in Skottsund, Sweden, the son of Johan Nordling and Märta Elisabet Barthelson. Sigrid was born in Stockholm, Sweden.

Jeffrey’s paternal grandmother was Edith M. Christiansen (the daughter of Otto Christiansen and Clara). Otto was born in Norway, to a Swedish father and a Norwegian mother. Clara was born in Norway.

Jeffrey’s maternal grandparents were possibly Henry Dickson and Augusta.
