David is the son of Dolores Therese (Mullinex/Mullinix) and Joseph Vincent Hasselhoff. He has two children, including actress Hayley Hasselhoff, with his former wife, actress Pamela Bach.

I met him at the Edinburgh Fringe festival a few years back and when he heard my accent he asked where in Ireland I was from. I told him Cork and he said his family are from Macroom in Cork. I still laugh at the memory of him mentioning Macroom. He was a genuinely nice bloke. Only for his security I reckon he would have stayed chatting all day.
He was so influential in popular culture back in the days that the lifeguard at the local beach was nicknamed “Mitch”, also because he resembled him (except for his height). This guy’s name is actually Francesco but they all called him “Mitch”.
