Jeremiah Fraites is an American musician, composer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist. He is a drummer and songwriter of folk rock band The Lumineers. Other members of the band are/have been Neyla Pekarek and Wesley Schultz.

He stated in this interview:
“It is an incredible feeling to go to Portugal for the first time. In fact, this may sound stupid, but I discovered that I have Portuguese blood. My last name is Fraites but originally it comes from Freitas, so I imagine that my ancestors changed it when they arrived in the United States. Therefore, I am doubly enthusiastic to go to Portugal to play my music and visit the country.”
