Sara’s maternal grandfather was John Edward Hackney (the son of Charles Morgan Hackney and Myrtle Lee Vaughn). John was born in Chicago, Illinois, and had deep roots in the U.S. Charles was born in Oklahoma. Myrtle was born in Tennessee, and was the daughter of Samuel “Bud” Vaughn and Mickey Holder.

Sara’s maternal grandmother was June Dolores Deubel (the daughter of Elmer B. Deubel and Helen Kane/Kahne). June was born in Chicago, Illinois.
