Steve Winwood is an English singer, songwriter, musician, and producer. He has been a member of bands The Spencer Davis Group; Traffic; and Blind Faith, the latter alongside Eric Clapton.
He is the son of Lillian Mary (Saunders) and Lawrence Samuel Winwood, who was a foundryman and semi-professional musician. He is married to American, Eugenia Crafton, with whom he has four children. Their daughter, Lilly Winwood, is a singer; another daughter, Mary Clare, is married to businessperson Ben Elliot, who has been Chairman of the Conservative Party.
