Peter Marshall is an American television and radio personality, singer, and actor. He is best known as the original host of The Hollywood Squares.

His son, Pete LaCock, is a former Major League Baseball player. His sister was actress Joanne Dru.

Peter’s Lacock line can be traced back to Richard Laycock, born in Kildwick, North Yorkshire, England in 1580.

Peter’s paternal grandfather was James S. Lacock, son of Benjamin Franklin Lacock and Sarah Jane Pratt. Benjamin was the son of Joseph Lacock (son of Elisha Lacock and Mary Eddy) and Rebecca Bane (daughter of Isaac Bane and Sarah Harriet Ferguson). Sarah was the daughter of John Pratt (son of Lott Jones Pratt and Molly Polly Eldridge) and Elizabeth Bellow.

Peter’s paternal grandmother was Lena Pauline Dietz. She was born in Ohio to German parents.

Peter’s maternal grandparents were George W. Frampton and Blanch Mathews (daughter of Norris Mathews and Letitia Campbell).
