Elize Du Toit

Place of Birth: Grahamstown, South Africa

Date of Birth: February 21, 1980

Elize du Toit is a South African-born actress. She was born in Grahamstown, and her family immigrated to Berkshire, England when she was fourteen years old. Elize is married to British actor Rafe Spall, whose father is actor Timothy Spall.

Du Toit is a common Afrikaner surname of French Huguenot origin.

Elize’s patrilineal line can be traced back to François du Toit, who emigrated from Lille, France, to South Africa, in 1686. Actress and model Charlize Theron also descends from him.

No need to mention French huguenot as all Afrikaners have french in them. Also the word huguenot is unnecessary as catholics and protestants in France aren’t genetically different.

Nope, the legacy of Huguenots is so important in the culture, politics and econony of South Africa that you can’t omit that word.
