Isn’t the surname “Sturtevant” dutch?
It traces back to early Colonial days in Plymouth, Massachusetts, and before that, to England (Sturdevant, Sturdivant etc)
A Dutch connection exists: https://www.geni.com/people/John-Sturtevant/6000000004630832054

@Jason 7 It’s a name from England, as the text already states.
From England it does not automatically mean “English,” because England was an hub to reach the New World from other countries as well.
Most sources lead to an English origin though: https://sturtivantorg.wordpress.com/the-english-sturtivantsturtevant-family/
