She is also known as BanX.

Tyra’s maternal grandmother was Florine B. Coleman (the daughter of Fletcher Coleman and Lucinda/Loucindy Wisner/Hampton). Florine was born in Texas. Fletcher was born in Texas, the son of Ezekle “Zeke”/Ezekiel Coleman and Julia Beasley.

You’re an idiot. If blacks have colored eyes it has been proven they had a white relative way back when and they got the recessive gene. Cute how you people think blacks are 100% black even if they pop out with green eyes or so. And I’m not sure if Tyra is a “proud black” when she dyes her hair blonde or wears colored contacts. You may say that has nothing to do with anything, but if she was so proud why would she be trying to look like a white girl?

Tyra Banks is a black woman and she is a proud one, I like her. She could exaggerate like Beyoncé (annoying) and puff up all these different French and native American mixtures from generations ago, which is inflated but she does not. Real 100% black people in Africa can have light skin and green, blue or grey eyes. Black people are very diverse. You cannot look at a half black person and point to them as to hwat mixed looks like. I am a mixed dark skinned black girl but I just say black. I discovered when I grew up that I had other mixtures East Indian and Native American, Portuguese but my mother never told me anything. She said that she made us “black” as she was annoyed by the colorism and mixed talk in her family. But at the end of the day , we all call ourselves BLACKS because that is the majority of our bloodline.
Any African in Africa with blue, green or gray eyes has non-African ancestry. The reason being that the mutation for blue eyes is quite new and happened well after people left Africa. There is plenty of information on this topic if you want to research. Tyra obviously has European ancestry as well. It doesn’t mean she can’t identify as black of course.
I agree with Alice. 100% Africans are dark skinned and have brown eyes. It is not possible to be light with colored eyes and not have white ancestry. It’s the truth.
Excuse me can u explain to me how I follow their “culture”? When ppl ask me what nationality I am I say what I am, exactly what I stated I am. But the issue is black ppl who tend to have a problem with mixed ppl that have some black in them. If u dont say ur black they get mad and tare u down, and if u do say ur black they say exactly what u just said. Its like nothing u say is good enough.
