There is so much anymosity about race and ethnicity. In the USA there is the one drop rule that puts any person of African decent who is mixed with anything else as only being called Black and/or African American. However, I believe what one of mixed race chooses to call themself is a matter of personal choice and no one else’s business. I also believe one if truly African American if one was born in Africa. Black Americans in the USA are different from those in Africa just like us West Indians are different. We are not all the same and that’s that!! I recall Black Americans treating me worse than white people and that’s sad. In my experience their is no togetherness in the American Black culture unless if it’s convenient for them. My ancestors are African, French and Carib Indian(originating from the Amazon/Brazil. I’m proud of them all and no one gets to decide who I am according to their own ignorant and stupid rule.
