Somchai Wongsawat is a Thai politician. He served as the 26th Prime Minister of Thailand, from September 18, 2008 to December 2, 2008.

He is the son of Dap (Sutsai) and Choem Wongsawat. He is married to Yaowapha Shinawatra, whose siblings are politicians Thaksin Shinawatra and Yingluck Shinawatra, who also both served as Prime Ministers of Thailand.
