Selita Ebanks is black no matter where the slave boat dropped off her ancestors. Her mother is Black and her father is Black. Yes, her mom is light skinned but I don’t believe she has a Caucasian parent. Maybe her grandmother has a parent that is of Caucasian and Native Indian mix. Anyway, does anyone know any black people of Slave ancestry anywhere in the world who don’t have mixed blood? I am sooooo damn tired of people being disected as an explanation for their beauty especially when they are black!
why do you sound so pressed tho? you’re either a hatin ass black woman or a racist white/hispanic/asian chick that is jealous that a pretty mixed woman looks better than you so you want to deny her non-black blood. smh i hate people like you that want mixed people to identify as black. screw you!
@WTF Selita is BLACK. Both of her parents are black. STOP trying to make everyone considered as Mixed. Mixed means two parents of totally different races. By your logic everyone in the world would be mixed.
Both her parents are black yes, though her mother can looks like this: https://mobile.twitter.com/selitaebanks/status/943961320835121153
Lol
Ok, everyone take a breatherrr!! those are some of her heritages that can be known, yet some of you say west indian is her ethnicity. In some ways it could be that way, but that is still offset. it would just be Cayman or British. However they identify their culture is really the answer of their ethnicity. that is the difference among race, ethnicity, and heritage.
How is she african american when she was born in the cayman island? She’s 100% west indian.
@gtlady
I believe it’s a Technicality
Her nationality is British, Caymans are under british crown.
She grew up in the US, so I’d think she may have American citizenship
African-American: Americans of African descent. Pretty simple, right?
@Gtlady She can be African American because she is from people born in the Americas. The Americas are North America, Central America down to South America. And Afro Carribean is basically the same as African American same slave ships from West Africa.
I know I’ve made this point on quite a few posts but… If both of her parents are from the islands how is her ethnicity African-American? It should be “West Indian”
She looks just Black.
She of course gonna be the race she is, but the culture a person is raised in is the true issue..
you must be white lmfao. most black people can tell when someone has something else in their dna. this chick looks mixed. i saw on some site where white dudes were hyping her up saying they would date her. most white dudes are not attracted to black women. some would date a pretty mulatta though. they would screw halle berry, alicia keys, this chick right, and every other pretty mulatta in a heart beat.
she’s got a white person’s nose. her hair too, it’s that of a mixed person
No ignorant. Black folks come in all shades, different features and different textures of hair. Where are you from? Look up her parents and you will see they have black blood. I am pretty sure she has white ancestry like the rest of us may it be a grandparent or further back in the blood line.
@WTF , I am black and she is BLACK. She has two black parents just like every other black. I notice when a black woman is pretty everyone wants to call her mixed.
she looks mixed race, period. And leaning towards the white side, even though her parents are both “black”. Isn’t it cool?
Her mother must have strong British blood via Cayman Islands.
