    @ bablah

I am kinda confused about Miro Klose background. What is he?

Problem is that there are Germans from Silesia that identify as Silesian, but there is also a separate Silesian Slavic langage that is different from both Polish and Czech, and there are Silesian speakers who identify as Silesan. Maybe just put him down as Polish and German (and looking at his father’s family tree, he’s more of the former). The Silesian thing is a bit confusing.

His father is not German, he’s Silesian which is a Slavic minority ethnicity most closely related to Czech and Polish people. Silesia was occupied by Germans for generations which is why his father was allowed to immigrate to Germany alongside other people.

Silesians are ethnically, culturally, historically, and linguistically similar to Poles and Czechs than they are to Germans.
