Assuming this is true, you know ONE family and a close knit circle of friends who are Jordanian. Whereas I visited the country several times, have multiple Jordanian friends (Laurance is literally the spitting image of one of them) and even a few in-laws

Pointing out the fact that many, many full Ashkenazim are visibly Middle Eastern and that most could easily blend in with Maronites, Samaritans, Druze, etc is not “whitewashing”. It’s simply a fact.
You are hellbent on denying the fact that we are indigenous to the MENA region and, in many cases (if not the majority), look the part. Your views are only a half-step removed from the Khazar theory, and are functionally more or less the same (i.e. “Ashkenazim are frauds with no real roots in the Levant”).
