He was also Senator of the Philippines, from July 9, 1945 to May 25, 1946, and President of the Senate of the Philippines, from July 9, 1945 to May 25, 1946, among other duties.

Manuel was the son of Rosario Acuña y Villaruz and Gerardo Roxas y Arroyo. I have this source about María Saturnina Ubaldo: philippinestudies.net/ojs/index.php/ps/article/download/1153/3516

Saturnina was the daughter of Chinese mestizo couple Eustacio Vicente Ubaldo and María Vita Vicenta, of Santa Cruz, Manila.

So, Manuel Roxas has some Chinese roots. Same applies to his granddaughter once again.

  4. Manila says:

Mariano may had been born in Mexico. It is not clear if this Mexican ancestry has been documented/verified. Same applies to his granddaughter Margarita Moran-Floirendo.

    CORRECTION:
Antonio Roxas y Ureta (the son of Mariano Roxas and Ana María de Ureta) -> Antonio Roxas y Ubaldo (the son of Domingo Roxas y Ureta and María Saturnina Ubaldo). Domingo was the son of Mariano Roxas y de Báez Romero and Ana María de Ureta
