Ludovico Einaudi is an Italian pianist and composer.

Ludovico is the son of Renata Aldrovandi and Giulio Einaudi. His father founded Giulio Einaudi Editore, one of the leading Italian publishing houses, in 1933.

Ludovico’s paternal grandfather was Luigi Einaudi (the son of Lorenzo Einaudi and Placida Fracchia). Luigi was a politician and economist, who served as President of Italy, from 1948 to 1955. Luigi was born in Carrù, Province of Cuneo, Piedmont, Italy.

Ludovico’s paternal grandmother was named Ida Pellegrini. Ida was a countess from Verona, Veneto, Italy.

Ludovico’s maternal grandfather was Waldo Aldrovandi, a pianist, opera conductor and composer.
