Lou Costello was an American actor and comedian. He was part of the comedy double act of Abbott and Costello, with Bud Abbott.

His father, Anthony Sebastiono/Sebastian/Sebastion Cristillo, was Italian, from Caserta, Campania. His mother, Helen (Rege), was of one quarter Italian, one quarter French, and one half Irish, ancestry. His brother was actor, producer, and stunt double Pat Costello (Anthony Sebastian Cristillo). Lou was married to burlesque dancer Anne Battler, until his death, with whom he had four children.

Lou’s paternal grandfather was named Angiolantonio Cristillo.

Lou’s paternal grandmother was named Catarina Tartaglione.

Lou’s maternal grandfather was Louis C. Rege (the son of Francesco/Francis Rege and Allena Depray). Louis was born in New Jersey, to an Italian father and a French mother. Francesco was born in Piedmont.
