Jake Shakeshaft is an English musician. He is one-half of British pop duo Joe and Jake, alongside Joe Woolford. They represented the U.K. in the Eurovision Song Contest 2016, where they placed 24th.
Jake’s paternal grandfather was George William Shakeshaft (the son of George Shakeshaft and Hannah Lloyd). Jake’s grandfather George was born in Wirral, Cheshire, England. Jake’s great-grandfather George was the son of Joseph Shakeshaft and Mary Whitlow. Hannah was the daughter of James Lloyd and Elizabeth Ann Parrott.
Jake’s paternal grandmother was Doreen Dodds (the daughter of John Henry Dodds and Lily Steel). Doreen was born in Birkenhead, Cheshire, England. John was the son of David Dodds and Mary Randles. Lily was the daughter of Robert Neilson Steel and Mary Jane McGuigan. Mary Jane was Scottish, from Penninghame, Wigtownshire.
