Halle Bailey is an American singer, songwriter, and actress. She stars as mermaid Ariel in Disney’s live-action The Little Mermaid (2023), and is also known for her role on the show Grown-ish. She is a member of contemporary R&B duo Chloe x Halle, with her sister Chloe Bailey.
She was raised in Mableton, Georgia, and moved to Los Angeles, California, in 2012 for her career. Her father Doug is her co-manager. She is said to be a cousin of radio host and television personality Charlamagne tha God.
