Halle Bailey is an American singer, songwriter, and actress. She stars as mermaid Ariel in Disney’s live-action The Little Mermaid (2023), and is also known for her role on the show Grown-ish. She is a member of contemporary R&B duo Chloe x Halle, with her sister Chloe Bailey. As a solo artist, she has released the song “Angel.”
She was raised in Mableton, Georgia, and moved to Los Angeles, California, in 2012 for her career. Her father Doug is her co-manager. She is said to be a cousin of radio host and television personality Charlamagne tha God. A picture of Halle’s father can be seen here.
