ok. everyone just relax. african slaves were also in south and central america. i don’t care if he is from puerto rica, dominican republic, puerto rico, venezuela, cuba, colombia etc. they (sammy sosa and fabolos) are black. so is sammy sosa. he is from the dominican republic but he a is black dominican. he is not african american but african dominican. thank god brazilians are not as confused as you all. and for the comment that some italians are dark with curly hair…. please read your history books. anyone who studied european history knows about the ottoman empire. and does it really matter if he is black or dominican? i am certain he would not want to deny any part of himself as you all are trying to do. just pure ignorance mentioned in the previous comments

Dominicans, Cubans, PuertoRicans, and other latino races come in all colors. Some are so dark you would think they were just an African American. So he could be mixed, Be careful how you judge people, remember they come in all colors. “Fabolous” is “F.A.B.O.L.O.U.S” regardless what race he is!!!

Being Hispanic is an ETHNICITY…not a race. just like Caucasion is a race not an athinicity. if you are blk you can be from vrious places just like caucasions. ppl dnt understand the difference between the two. Thats why on applications there is an extra box to check- white-not of hisp descent or black-not of hispanice descent. thats one of the beauties about being hispanic, half of my family has dark eyes and ligt skin and the other has dark skin with light eyes…
