Emilio Delgado was an American actor and singer. He was known for playing Luis Rodriguez on Sesame Street for 45 years.
Emilio was born in Calexico, the son of Carmen Rodriguez and Emilio Romero Delgado, who were also born in California, of Mexican descent. Emilio grew up in Mexicali, Mexico, until his family moved to Glendale, California, when he was a teenager. He was married to Carole Delgado, until his death. He had two children, including one with Carole.
