Tbh while it appears “Moss” exists as surname in Germany, I don’t think this is the case.

      yes, she looks Jewish.

no she doesn’t, she looks ambiguously European, could be anything

I do not want to come off as rude… but in the last news, doesn’t the expression “ambiguously European” in the scholarly verbose is not an euphemistic synonym for either an white or white-passing individual of Romani ancestry, of vaguely German speaking ancestry, of Melungeon ancestry, of mixed Native American and White European ancestry, of a distant mixed African and White European ancestry, an ethnic Central European or Eastern European with broadly vague or distinct Eurasian or Hellenic features, or an individual of Jewish Ashkenazi ancestry much respectively?

Besides, this website source DOES categorize Moss amongst their list of famed Canadian Jews:
          https://www.famousfix.com/list/canadian-jews
          https://www.famousfix.com/topic/carrie-anne-moss

Judging by her youthful features on their cover picture, she definitively share some resemblances in common with a few other celebrities of European Jewish ancestry such as the American actress Lisa Edelstein (Polish Jewish Ashkenazi and Russian Jewish Ashkenazi ancestry) , French-American acting super star Timothée Chalamet (distant Franco-Jewish ancestry from the French side of his paternal Chalamet lineage– hence their Franco-Jewish surname, and Jewish Ashkenazi American from the mother’s side) or moreso the latter one’s older sister Pauline Chalamet (same ethnic background) .

It seemingly set up the assumptions made by TerraMessorem about Moss’s ethnic background. Though, if I want to be fair with the both of you, I suspect she may have some French Canadian blood into her veins either: she appears a little more like some of those middle aged French Canadian women we can cross on every corner of Quebec, as she ages, and her middle name is the French pronunciation of Ann rather than its usual English iteration. Which seems very odd, given that she was born in British Columbia, and was not hailing from a Franco British Columbian community.

There are many websites that attribute various ethnicities to multitudes of celebrities, most of the sites don’t give a reason and/or source of those attributions. I wouldn’t put too much stock into famousfix’s claim of her background.
