Anyways, I found some information about her husband’s family (Richard de Klerk). He is from Vancouver and his father, Gerardus (Gerry) de Klerk is a Dutch businessman, and his mother is named “Irene Nelson”, presumably of Anglo/Irish ancestry.

She probably has Scottish and/or Irish ancestry too considering her surname (a variant of McGee/MacGee) and her look.

She may, but then against she may not. For a lot of us (I’m speaking in the sense of a lot of us ethnic minorities in North America), surnames were adopted centuries ago and have no genetic connection to us; I know that mine doesn’t.

I doubt she is fully Ojibwe.

Judging from her appearance I also highly doubt that she is fully Ojibwe, and probably has a significant amount of European heritage,. But she only identifies as being “Ojibwe”. But this isn’t that uncommon. Lots of people claim/identify as being First Nations/Indigenous, but they have large amounts of European ancestry.
