Alfred was the son of Thomas Peyton, whose own father was English, and of Mary Ann Pearce. Julie was the daughter of Francis J. Freeman, whose own father was English, and of Lucinda Keats Lacey.

Brad’s paternal grandmother was Amy Louise Anstey (the daughter of Arthur Dunley Anstey and Catherine “Kate” Stuckless). Arthur was the son of Francis John Anstey and Dorcas Jane Earle. Catherine was the daughter of George Stuckless and Mary Ann Gavin.
