Bobby Orr is a Canadian professional ice hockey player. He is often considered one of the best players of all time. He was inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame in 1979.

Bobby is the son of Arva and Douglas Fraser Orr. He is married to Margaret Louise “Peggy” Wood, with whom he has two children.

Bobby’s paternal grandfather was named Robert Orr. Robert was born in Ballymena, Northern Ireland, and was a top-rated soccer player.

Bobby’s maternal grandfather was Gordon David Steele (the son of Joseph Steele and Suzannah Brownlee).

Bobby’s maternal grandmother was Isabella Campbell (the daughter of James Campbell and Mary Ann Roach).

    According to this tree, Douglas Orr’s mother was 95 years old when she had him. One for the record books.
