I’m pretty sure she’s Welsh and not English. I think she was born in England to Welsh parents. At the very least she is half-Welsh as her Dad is definitely Welsh.
she is amazing, such soulful voice,i love rolling in the deep best song ever,
She has a soulful voice, I am a huge fan of her. I also love that she isn’t small, but she always dresses really pretty.. and she loves to swear :)
English may be an ethnicity(especially since we have no real definition of ethnicity) however being born in England certainly does not mean that your ethnicity is English. Also, Very importantly– Welsh, Irish, Scottish, and English are NOT the same thing just b/c they all have fair/caucasion skin. The Celts were the ppl of that whole area, and more untill Anglo-Saxons(Germanic tribes) invaded. It’s hard to know how many Celts remained in England after the Celts, as a group moved/were pushed to Wales, Scotland,Ireland, etc. We DO know that during The Great Hunger famine&genocide(England’s version of “the final solution”) in the mid 1800’s so many ppl left Ireland (mainly headed to England,Canada, and USA) that, by a certain year in the 1840’s or 1850’s, something like 1/3 (or half???) of the ppl in Liverpool, England were from Ireland. For this reason, as well as the already stated fact that ppl from all over the world live in England(many of them desended from the countries to which England claimed ownership, where the empire moved in and destroyed a culture) ….. Due to the many ppl who moved to England in just the last century or two, “heritage” should be determined by at least ASKING about surnames and grand(or great-great)parents. For example, if one is born in England with the name Dooley or Jones or McCarthy, why not ask about their family tree? Maybe they have a Welsh grandmother. …….. BTW – I absolutely love Adele, whatever her heritage!!! And she IS beautiful.
“”The Celts were the ppl of that whole area, and more untill Anglo-Saxons(Germanic tribes) invaded. It’s hard to know how many Celts remained in England after the Celts, as a group moved/were pushed to Wales, Scotland,Ireland, etc.””
Anglo-Saxon invaders were not predominant group in England V-VI AC in comparison with local British population, archeology doesn’t confirm disappearance or moving of large number of native people from Eastern England to the west. Moreover,we don’t know about genetic component of Anglo-Saxons,do they really differ from indigenous people, cause genetic analysis doesn’t show big difference between Western and Eastern England, and Eastern England and Denmark-sea coast of Netherlands (hypothetical homeland of Anglo-Saxon) where presence of Celtic R1b1a2 (R-M 269) haplogroup about 42 % .
So when we talk about Anglo-Saxons,we mean just ruling warrior elite with their families as a result, some small number of immigrants.
If they are from Denmark, why is their name Anglo-Saxon?
Saxon is Sachsen in Germany. Some anglos deny it, cuz
they have Frieseland roots, too.(D) Do you know Frieseland jokes?
Of course, they are mixed with Danes as well, but it was
