Her parents are Moroccan Jews who moved to Israel in the 1950s. Her grandfather was a rabbi. In 2017, she also became a U.S. citizen. Moran has a daughter.

Interestingly her character in Paul Haggis’ Third Person (2013) was a Romanian Gypsy woman (at least in the Italian dubbed version) who was Adrian Brody’s character love interest.
There’s a very funny scene where she is called “zingara” (gypsy) by Riccardo Scamarcio who played a bartender, AS Roma fan, and as reaction she mocked him as “Totti dei poveri” (poor man’s Totti). Totti (football player) is like the 8th King of Rome.
