Shelley Winters was an American actress. She twice won the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress, for The Diary of Anne Frank (1959) and A Patch of Blue (1965).

Shelley was married to Gerry DeFord, until her death. She had a daughter with her former husband, Italian actor Vittorio Gassman.
