Slimane, also known by his birth name Slimane Nebchi, is a French singer and songwriter. He rose to fame after winning the fifth season of The Voice – La plus belle voix. He represented France in the Eurovision Song Contest 2024, finishing fourth. As a solo musician, he has achieved over twenty five chart entries on the French Singles Chart. His songs include “Bella ciao” and “Mon amour.”
Slimane’s grandparents emigrated from Algeria, from Biskra, Biskra Province, on his father’s side, and Ghazaouet, Tlemcen Province, on his mother’s side. They came to the suburbs of Paris, France, in the early 1960s to work in the coal factories of Montfermeil.
