Mark Belanger was an American professional baseball player. He was a shortstop and coach. With eight gold gloves, he is widely considered to have been one of the greatest defensive defensive shortstops of all time.
Mark was the son of Maria and Edward Louis Belanger.
Mark’s paternal grandfather was Wilfred Joseph Belanger (the son of Edward Belanger and Marie Edmire Bourdeau). Edward was born in Massachusetts, the son of Joseph Isidore Belanger and Marie Esther Foisy dit Freniere.
