Heather’s great-grandfather Joseph was born in Bohemia, the son of John Kafka and Jenney/Anna Zaliska. Victoria was born in Iowa, to parents from Bohemia, Albert B. Janechek and Anna Frances Cerny.

Heather’s paternal grandmother was Frances Margaret Hauer (the daughter of Mike Hauer and Theresa Rausch). Frances was born in Iowa. Mike was born in Germany, the son of Conrad Hauer and Katharina Speckenreuther/Spitkenunten.
