Zoe Lister-Jones is an American actress, producer, director, and writer. Zoe has often collaborated with her former husband, artist, filmmaker, producer, and actor Daryl Wein. They co-wrote the films Breaking Upwards, Lola Versus, and Consumed, all of which he directed, and How It Ends, which they co-directed. Working solo, Zoe has written and directed the films Band Aid and The Craft: Legacy. Zoe and Daryl co-starred in Breaking Upwards, and Zoe also appeared in all of the above films except for The Craft sequel.

Zoe is the daughter of Ardele Lister, a video artist, and William “Bill” Jones, a photographer, installation artist, performer, and writer. Her father is American and her mother is Canadian. Zoe’s mother was born to a Jewish family, while Zoe’s father converted to Judaism. Zoe was raised attending an egalitarian Conservative synagogue.

Zoe’s maternal grandfather was John “Jack” Lister (the son of William Listernick/Lister and Sadie/Saddie Feinstein/Finstine). Jack was born in Russia, and his parents were from Ostrog. William was the son of Schmul/Schmiel/Samuel Listernik/Listernick/Lusternick and Chaje Ida Oistaisher. The Lister family has roots in Rovno. Sadie was the daughter of Myer Feinstein/Finstine and Sophia Lifistiz.

Zoe’s maternal grandmother was named Rose Bercovice (the daughter of Peter Bercovice and Esther).
