Joe Porcaro was an American jazz drummer and percussionist.
His parents, Concetta (Ciccariello) and Giuseppe Porcara (later Joseph Thomas Porcaro), were Italian emigrants, from Brianza, Province of Monza and Brianza, Lombardy, and San Luca, Province of Reggio Calabria, respectively. He was married to Eileen Frances Linnell, with whom he had four children, musicians Jeff Porcaro, Mike Porcaro, and Steve Porcaro, all of whom were part of rock band Toto; and actress Joleen Porcaro Duddy. His grandchildren, Chase Duddy and Paige Duddy, formed electronic duo XYLØ.
Joe’s paternal grandfather was Francesco Saverio Porcara (the son of Francescantonio Porcara and Antonia Pollifroni).
Joe’s paternal grandmother was Elisabetta Maria Alvaro (the daughter of Giuseppe Alvaro and Maria Giorgi).
