Bethenny Frankel is an American television personality, philanthropist, entrepreneur, and author. She was the host of the show Bethenny, from 2012 to 2014, and The Big Shot with Bethenny, in 2021.

Bethenny is the daughter of Bernadette Birk and Robert Julian Frankel, a famed horse trainer. She has a daughter with her former husband, pharmaceutical sales executive Jason Hoppy.

Bethenny’s paternal grandfather was named Merrill Frankel.

Bethenny’s paternal grandmother was named Gertrude.

According to Bethenny’s biography, her mother’s family was from Wales, and they lived in shacks and raised pigeons there. Bethenny’s mother converted to Judaism.
