Matteo Ferrari is an Italian professional footballer. Usually a centre-back, he played for Genoa, Lecce, Internazionale, Bari, Parma, Roma, Everton, Beşiktaş, and Montreal Impact, and the Italy national team and Italy Olympic team.

He was born in Aflou, Algeria, to an Italian petroleum engineer father, and a mother originally from Guinea. His father worked in countries throughout Africa, because of his professiona. Matteo has a son with his partner, Venezuelan model Aída Yéspica.
