WHOE!!!! I thought she was Mexican and Native-American. but I never figured she has English,Spanish,Italian, and Polish (Brazilian)

Cryo Beary September 7, 2011 at 10:33 pm

Polish (Brazilian)? Does that mean one of her parents is a Brazilian of Polish descent? I am guessing that is what it means since Brazilian is a nationality.

Justin Bieber September 18, 2011 at 8:30 pm

yes youre right

cheesecake July 25, 2011 at 1:42 am

Doesn’t matter what she is, she still can’t sing to save her life, and it’s possible her parents lied to her. They were lying when they told her she could sing…

oceanreef August 1, 2011 at 1:23 am

She sounded just fine on “My Moment” proving she can sing. Also MM used only a few standard filter effects in places to give it a modern sound like so many other artists do. Most of it allowed her voice to clearly be heard and while she’s not the best singer, she did a good job. That said, you’re clearly either deaf, on the hater wagon, or have been huffing glue from a brown paper bag. Please stop.

The Italian & Latina part of her make sense but i always saw a little native american on her.

rafael June 24, 2011 at 4:28 pm

italians are latin

Amber Berg July 14, 2011 at 7:33 pm

no they are not, Italian language derives from Latin language- but so does English and we are not latin

Alice July 21, 2011 at 5:29 am

Italian is a Latin language. English is a West Germanic language and is not Latin. Italians are classed as Latins. Have you ever heard of Rudolph Valentino? He was the original Latin Lover and he was Italian. All the Latin languages are European – French, Italian, Spanish and Romanian. Italy is the original home of all the Latin languages. Italians are definitely Latins.

Ariana decir-gracias! October 9, 2011 at 1:03 pm

We are classified as latin but we are still white. rebecca is white and has not latina in her because her parents have polish ancestry from brazil.

marjanel August 16, 2014 at 8:56 am

Italians are white but still being Latins, it is culture and language not a race.

rafael August 1, 2011 at 6:28 am

no english is not a latin language

Justin Bieber September 6, 2011 at 6:57 pm

English does not have latin roots….. WOW, i suggest you go back to school

iris18 September 7, 2011 at 6:56 am

not ALL of the italians in Italy are latins but only the ones that are from Rome

english is not a latin language but since it was under the Roman Empire for more than 3 centuries it obviously aquired some latin words: equality, agriculture, alien, animal, embrace ect…

and it’s true italian does derive from latin like modern greek derives fro ancient greek

_collie_ August 2, 2011 at 4:43 am

No they aren’t, spanish, portugese, italian & french are not latins at all. -.-

rafael August 2, 2011 at 5:02 am

collie, do some research, you can find all that info real easily.

Kkuka.Latino and Latin means the same , the only difference is that Latino is in Spanish.

marjanel August 16, 2014 at 9:03 am

I am Latin American.Spanish,Italians,Portugueses and French are Latina. If they are not Latin, then any Latin American can be Latin.Don’t believe in those webs many don’t know anything about us.

shut up June 7, 2011 at 11:15 pm

Do people know who Rebecca Black is, even though they’ve never met her? Then she’s a celebrity. Words mean things, hth.

AMAZINGNESS June 7, 2011 at 8:13 am

hey dumb ass if you state someone is spanish please dont put brazilian in parentheses they are two very different cultures.

QueenOrangeSoda June 6, 2011 at 9:10 pm

Well, that makes sense.

Myspace Celebrity April 22, 2011 at 6:29 pm

Ha, it’s actually Friday.

My guess was Brazilian of Italian ancestry. Kinda close, but not really lol.

Paul. April 21, 2011 at 4:05 pm

…Isn’t this site for celebrities..?

sound_soldier April 21, 2011 at 8:16 am

Moreover, I know a Pakistani female singer, Nadia Ali who looks exactly as Rebecca Black !! Here why I thought she had Arab heritage !

sound_soldier April 21, 2011 at 8:12 am

I thought she had a little Arab heritage but I’m wrong lol.
Her Italian and Spanish descent explains why she looks “exotic”.

Shamshir April 22, 2011 at 11:39 am

Pakistanis are not Arabs ^-^
Arab countries inculde : Morocco,Algeria, Sudan, Mauritania,Egypt,Saudi Arabia,Yemen,UAE,Jordan,Iraq, Somalia,Qatar,Oman,Syria, Libya,Lebanon,Kuwait,Bahrain, Tunisia and Djibouti.Arabs are Semitic,Pakistanis are Aryan or Dravidian.

sound_soldier April 23, 2011 at 1:40 pm

Yes it’s true, you’re right, Pakistan isn’t an Arab country ! But, Pakistanis are, to me, a mix of Arab and Northern Indian ^^

Shamshir July 5, 2011 at 12:20 pm

Some of them might have some Arab in them, but if not I don’t think Arab comes up in their genes that often.Besides the Arabs while spreading Islam weren’t all Arabs, there was also a lot of Berbers,Turks,Persians… with them.

jigga July 14, 2011 at 6:05 pm

somalians are not arab

ukrainianguy July 24, 2011 at 10:41 pm

it could very well be her Polish ancestry, there are many Eastern Europeans who look similar to her except she looks more western.. she doesn’t seem exotic at all only to Americans who know very little on European looks

Mike April 21, 2011 at 7:03 am

her myspace says native american

WTF April 20, 2011 at 4:58 pm

Kind of seems like she lied about her ethnicity to sound ‘exotic’. Also I thought this was about Celebrities not viral music video “artists” – i mean that word very loosely.

The term latino (feminine latina) in the Romance languages, such as Italian, Portuguese, and Spanish, literally translates as “Latin”. The cognate French term is Latin, not Latino. Portuguese dictionaries define the demonym latino to refer to natives of Romance-speaking nations influenced by Roman civilization, and to the natives or inhabitants of ancient Latium (modern Lazio). Italian dictionaries define the demonym latino as: the ancient Latins and Romans, and their language, Latin, as well as the neo-Latin nations. The dictionary of the Real Academia Española defines ten meanings for latino, including the ancient peoples of Latium and the modern Romance-speaking European and American nations.

rafael August 2, 2011 at 4:47 pm

latino is just latin in spanish, people sometimes create 2 definitions for the same thing.which is actually incorrect latin in spanish is latin.but people insist on misusing the words.i actually catagorize that as pig latin.
