O Yeong-su is a South Korean actor. He is known for his role in Squid Game, and in the film Spring, Summer, Fall, Winter… and Spring, as well as many stage performances. He often plays monks.
Born in Kaepung, now North Korea, his family moved to Paju, in the southern Korean side, after the 38th parallel line was drawn across Korea. His father was killed and his brother was kidnapped during the North Korean War.
His grandfather was an educator and landlord.
