She is the daughter of Maribel “Chyn” Hernandez Lapira and Christopher Joseph “Phey” Balao Liggayu. Her parents are pictured here. Mich’s paternal grandparents are pictured here.

Mich’s paternal grandfather was Mario Sumabat Liggayu (the son of Dominador Catral Liggayu and Asuncion Purugganan Sumabat). Mario was born in Alcala, Cagayan, Cagayan Valley, Philippines. Dominador was the son of Mariano Liggayu y Urtiz and María Catral y Aquino. Asuncion was the daughter of Simplicio Sumabat and Ana Purugganan.

Mich’s paternal grandmother is Margaret “Grace” Purugganan Balao (the daughter of Servando Balao and Natividad Purugganan). Margaret is from Tuguegarao, Cagayan.
