Mel Ott was an American professional baseball player. He was a Major League Baseball (MLB) right fielder for the New York Giants, from 1926 through 1947. Mel was inducted to the National Baseball Hall of Fame in 1951. He was nicknamed “Master Melvin.”
Mel was the son of Caroline and Charles Lawrence Ott.
