They do it because they don’t want anything good to be associated with Haiti. They used to do that with Thandie Newton, calling her half Zambian instead of Zimbabwean. And when they did recognise her as Zimbabwen they claimed she was from a royal family, not some ordinary Zimbabwean. It’s called the racist/agenda struck press. If they vilify you then nothing good can come from you. I read articles in the UK recently that were calling Mrs Obama mixed race, harking back to some plantation owner in the bloodline. They just can’t accept that a black woman is that fabulous in so many ways. And of course before he won the election Obama was described in the UK as a lunatic, messianic black man. Why do people insist on leaving out the fact that this man is half Haitian? I keep hearing he is half but when you hear his interviews he always says he is Haitian. Stop with this Afr-Caribbean crap!
