Eddie Money was an American rock singer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist. He is known for his songs “Two Tickets to Paradise” and “Take Me Home Tonight,” among many others.

He was the son of Dorothy Elizabeth (Keller) and Daniel Patrick Mahoney. He was married to Laurie, until his death. The couple has five children.

Eddie’s paternal grandfather was Daniel Jeremiah Mahoney (the son of Michael Mahoney and Johanna Donohue). Daniel was born in New York, to Irish parents, with his father being from County Kerry.

Eddie’s paternal grandmother was Margaret Agnes O’Connell (the daughter of Patrick O’Connell and Margaret Agnes Burke). Eddie’s grandmother Margaret was born in New York, to Irish parents, with her mother being from County Galway.

Eddie’s maternal grandfather was Edward J. Keller. Edward was born in New York, to a German-born father and a Polish-born mother. Eddie has said (here and here) that his mother was of Jewish heritage, so it is possible that his grandfather Edward was Jewish.

Eddie’s maternal grandmother was Margaret A. Murphy (the daughter of Patrick Murphy and Anna J. Herbert). Margaret was born in New York.
