Dustin Byfuglien is an American professional ice hockey player. He played for the Chicago Blackhawks, Atlanta Thrashers, and Winnipeg Jets.

His father, Rick Spencer, is African-American. His mother, Cheryl Byfuglien, is of Norwegian and Swedish descent. The name Byfuglien is Norwegian. He is married to Emily, with whom he has three children.

Dustin’s maternal grandfather was Kenneth Glen Byfuglien (the son of Knut Byfuglien and Gunda Bernice Dokken). Knut was born in North Dakota, the son of Norwegian parents, Erick Knudsen Byfuglien and Inger Nordengen. Gunda was born in Minnesota, the daughter of Ole Knut Dokken and Bergit Pederson, from Gol, Hallingdal, Buskerud, Norway.
