Not to give a history lesson but as it is known, our ancestors were either classified as Quadroon, Octroon or even mulatto. Mixed didn’t come about until maybe 25+ years ago. My heritage is of Jamaican, Cherokee and White descent. My parents are both brown and dark skinned. I came out light skinned then turned into the educated brown skinned sista. I embrace my roots and I wish some of you would get out of the microcosm that plagues us black people. We can still be of any heritage and still be black. Even .00005 percent of any race doesn’t make any one person 100% of that race. Some of these statements are so flawed. I have a degree in Sociology and had a class in African-American society. To me, Chris Brown is whatever he decides to identify himself as. Looks aren’t helpful in determining a person’s race.
