Laura Bretan is a Romanian-American soprano. She won the sixth season of Romania’s Got Talent, and then placed sixth on the eleventh season of America’s Got Talent, both in 2016. In 2018, she came second in Selecția Națională, the Romanian national final for Eurovision 2018.

Her parents, Rahela and Petru Bratan, are Romanian immigrants. Their photo can be seen here. She holds dual citizenship with Romania and the U.S.
