Gene Upshaw was an American professional football player. A guard, he played his entire professional career with the Oakland Raiders of the National Football League (NFL). Regarded as one of the greatest, he was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 1987.

Gene was the son of Cora Mae and Thurman Eugene Upshaw.
