Nikka Costa is a Japanese-born American singer, actress, and composer.

Her father, American conductor and record producer Don Costa, was of Sicilian Italian descent. Her mother has English, and possibly other, ancestry. She was raised in California, and Europe, traveling for her father’s career. Nikka is married to Australian musician, producer, and songwriter Justin Stanley, with whom she has two children.

Nikka’s paternal grandfather was Gaetano “Guy” Costa (the son of Giovanni Costa and Roa Gerbasi). Gaetano was born in Messina, Sicily, Italy.

Nikka’s paternal grandmother was Nunziata “Nancy” Bisazza (the daughter of Antonino Bisazza and Grazia Crescenti). Nunziata was born in Messina.

Nikka’s maternal grandmother was named Bessie Mae.
