Joan Vohs was an American model and film and television actress. She was also credited as Joan Vohs Stephens and Elinor Joan Vohs.

She was the daughter of Josephine Frances and William Halliday Vohs. She performed with The Rockettes. Joan was married to John G. Stephens, until her death, with whom she had two children. She was a Sunday school teacher.

Joan’s paternal grandfather was Henry John Bernhard/Bernard Vohs (the son of Henry John Vohs and Caroline Elizabeth Peters). Henry was born in Germany.

Joan’s paternal grandmother was Elinor Marion Bauer (the daughter of Christian Henry Bauer and Emily Mary Meyer). Elinor was born in Manhattan, New York City. Christian was a German immigrant. Emily was the daughter of John Frederick Meyer, who was born in England, and was likely of German descent, and of Emily Agnes Halliday, an Irish immigrant.
